Omaha, Nebraska, April 8, 2008 - itSMF USA announces the formation of the
Mid-America Local Interest Group.
The Mid-America Local Interest Group (LIG) has been established in the Omaha and
surrounding areas, including
Lincoln and Council Bluffs. This group aims to serve the interests of IT Service
Management practitioners in the Mid-
American region. "We are very pleased with the re-establishment of this Local
Interest Group," said itSMF USA
Board member Michael Cardinal. "There is a large network of IT Service Management
professionals in the greater
Omaha area and to witness the energy and commitment of this new leadership team is
not only great for the
practitioners in the area, but it is great for the ItSMF USA as well."
The Mid-America LIG's first meeting will be Wednesday, May 7th, from 6PM to 8PM. The
Kick Off meeting will be
held at New Horizons at 2125 North 120 Street Omaha, NE 68164 and open to the
public. David Cannon, President of
itSMF USA and Vic Stannish, CIO of the Douglas/Omaha Technology Commission will be
speaking. Seats are filling

Agriculture, Financial, Healthcare, Insurance, Manufacturing, Retail, Utilities and
other industries.
The itSMF USA Mid-America LIG is a regional forum that promotes information
technology service management best
practices by encouraging member participation at these forums to address technical
and business issues relating to IT
service management.
The IT Service Management Forum USA (itSMF USA) helps member organizations to
achieve measurable operational
excellence by introducing, developing and promoting IT Service Management Best
Practices. In addition to
practitioners, many leading IT vendors have joined the association as part of the
global growth phenomenon in the area
